What we learned in the last month from Jeff Share, Editor of Pipeline and Gas Journal

Here are the 10 things we learned from Jeff Share:

  1. Show the pipeline business billions more in opportunities (498 leaders attended.)

  2. Select sponsors to let you know more about the support that is waiting for you to ask.

  3. Do something no one expects. Petrobras’ presentation on ethanol and their R&D efforts was eye opening even at 4:00 PM.

  4. Keep inviting leaders and their friends to multiply your reach.

  5. Start with a great speaker who wakes up the crowd. Norm Szydolowski, President of Colonial Gas, was a strong icebreaker.

  6. Green is good. It is here to stay.

  7. Understate your expected results to give them something to talk about.

  8. Welcome people for lunch even if you aren’t sure how.

  9. Get support from a positive meeting organizer like Karen Francis to manage the details.

  10. Know when it is time to say when.
